Having specialised in financial and commercial areas for so long, we have an excellent understanding of market trends; what works and what doesn’t. This puts us in the prime position to source, get to know and shortlist only the best available candidates, saving our clients valuable time and resources.
The search process for candidates includes:
Gaining an in-depth insight into the available position(s) based on meetings with senior executives, key decision-makers, the human resources team or stakeholders. In doing so, we can create comprehensive specifications, which will narrow down the profile of the ideal candidate.
- Identifying a candidate
Proactively finding and sourcing candidates that are outstanding in their field is our strong point, and has proven to be an extremely successful way of finding the best people for the positions we handle.
- Conducting interviews
Meridian conducts full, comprehensive interviews of several candidates; ascertaining who would be the best fit for you and the position that you require filled. After we have a short list prepared of the most suitable options, we evaluate them and produce detailed reports on each one.
- Presenting candidates
Interviews are scheduled with the finalist candidates and the key decision-makers. Meridian can assist with determining the interview strategy, methodology and approach, equipping our clients to be as efficient and effective as possible. We will meet with you after the interviews to discuss your thoughts and findings.
- Handling the offer
Once you have decided on a candidate, we conduct detailed background checks and references, while you prepare the offer. We then present the offer, including any terms and conditions, to the candidate. If necessary, Meridian will also negotiate the final employment and compensation package with them.
- Signing off
Once the successful candidate has accepted the offer in writing, we contact each of the other short-listed candidates to inform them and to thank them sincerely for their interest.
- Following up
For the first year of their employment, we will follow up with candidates and clients to ensure that they are both happy with the placement.
